The Atlantis 1 is an analogue electronic echo machine designed and built by Hugo Huysentruit in Belgium in the early 2000s. It simulates several of the old disc- and tape echoes that were popular in the 50´s and 60´s. Here is a demo of the different echo modes / selections of "playback heads" on this machine.

The Quests..a Singapore band wrote and recorded this tune...around 1966....living there myself then..I saw The Quests play this many times...!!!...Singapore was VERY different then...Cliff Richard came to do a concert...but was refused permission to perform...because the Government there said his HAIR was too long...!!!..Yes really...!!!!!

@leadryder Absolutely...!!!..Shanty was popular in Singapore..The Quests were regularly on TV..Often saw them at Singapore Swimming Club...They used Fender Dual Showman amps..Fender guitars AND the long forgotten Schaller Disk Echo which was a brilliant Echo chamber..!!..Dad bought me a Hofner 3pickup Verithin Christmas 1966..still play it today..a better rhythm guitar than any of my Fenders/Gibson etc ..its those Hofner Nova sonic pickups and comprehensive switches..!!..Cost £50 in English money..Fender Stratocaster was around £100.at that time..!!..Most shops had to display a sign..." Men with Long Hair will be served LAST.."...!!!!!!..Life in 60s Singapore was DIFFERENT...!!!!...Love your guitar playing....!!!..Keep Going...Always Watching...!!.Best Wishes from Plymouth UK...!!!!

I dont know this tune. The style sounds somewhat reminiscent of Th Spotnicks.
😊 - somewhat faster ,& I think more lively # , than orignal, but they omit or fluff 1 or 2 notes, ( audience noise doesnt help) Why are there 4 guitarists? # the drummer is having to work hard!

What model Vox and tape machine echo pedal is that ? Sounds amazing 🎸👍
It is a 1967 Vox AC30 Top Boost with an EF86 channel added. The echo is a Hall & Collins Signature Echo which is an electronic unit which emulates several different tape echo machines.
Do you use an attenuator ?
No attenuator. Moderate volume on amp.
@@leadryder so its possible to play an AC 30 at home without an attenuator and still able obtain the Hank Marvin tone ? Correct ? Almico Blue, Greenback or Whalfdale speakers ?
If this is a home video from 1961 the sound you are hearing can not be true. Be honest do not fool other people.
If you read the full video description you see that the film was silent and music was added only for illustration how it might have sounded. It is also clearly stated at the end of the movie. I am not fooling anybody! /Kurt Fröberg
